Vikings Master the NSW State Long Course Championships 2026
Tuggeranong Masters were crowned Division 2 champions after a strong performance at the MSNSW State Long Course Championships held at the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre on 11/12 April 2026.
Vikings receive MSA 2025 50x50x50 Challenge Awards
To commemorate MSA 50th anniversary, the 50x50x50 challenge was run in 2025. This involved swimming a 50×50m lap (2500m) session for 50 weeks in the year.
Sunday Night Drinks: Some celebrations and a farewell
We gathered after training for our Sunday Night Drinks on 15 February 2026 to celebrate achievements and say farewell to a long-standing club member.
2025 Club Awards and Christmas Celebration
On Sunday, 7 December 2025, many members came together to celebrate the club’s successful year at the Vikings Club, Erindale. The club recognised the achievements of members in the annual presentation awards and celebrated the night in festive attire, with a Kris Kringle gift being an enjoyable highlight. Thanks to Maria for organising the event – a great finish to the swimming year.
Amazing achievements at the 2025 Australian Masters Games, Canberra
The Australian Masters Games are held every two years, and this edition saw swimmers from around the country heading to Canberra for two days of competition at the Australian Insitute of Sport (AIS) pool. The event was held in short course format on 24-25 October 2025. Tuggeranong Masters fielded a large team of 36 swimmers over the two days at the AIS. From first-time racers to seasoned competitors our swimmers took advantage of being able to race in our home city.
Vikings shine at the 2025 MSNSW State SC Championships
A team of 13 Viking swimmers travelled to Woy Woy on the Central Coast of NSW to participate in the 2025 MSNSW State Short Course Championships on 11-12 October. The Vikings had an enjoyable swim meet, and even though our team was small compared to many of the Sydney clubs, we did our club proud with some top-notch results and shiny medals with ribbons to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Masters Swimming Australia.
Turns galore, and records fall at the 2025 MSNSW Long Distance SC Championships
This year, the MSNSW Long Distance Championships were held in short course (25m) format at Knox Grammar Aquatic Centre on Sunday, 31 August 2025.
Wonderful times at the 2025 World Aquatics Masters Championships in Singapore
The 2025 World Aquatics Masters Championships were held in Singapore, 7-14 August 2025.
Tuggeranong Masters had four swimmers representing our club: Jeanette Droop, Caz Makin, Elizabeth Merenda, and Anne Smyth.
One swimmer, four races, one champion award
Tuggeranong Masters was proudly represented at the Ryde BPS Meet on Saturday, 26 July 2025, with Ann Reid as the sole dedicated swimmer flying the club colours. Ann was awarded the Female BPS Meet Champion for the closest to nominated time in the 200m Freestyle.
Bling bling, Great Barrier Reef Masters Games 2025
The 2025 Great Barrier Reef Masters Games were held from 29 May – 1 June 2025 at the Tobruk Memorial Pool in Cairns, Queensland, attracting around 220 swimmers and over 30 volunteers. In its seventh edition, the GBRMG is held every two years and is popular amongst masters-aged athletes from around Australia and overseas.
A total of nine women from our club (Ann, Brenda, Catherine, Caz, Donna, Katrina, Kris, Kylie, Liz) let their hair down to attend this fun and relaxed event hosted by Masters Swimming Queensland.
