Vikings receive MSA 2025 50x50x50 Challenge Awards

To commemorate MSA 50th anniversary, the 50x50x50 challenge was run in 2025.

This involved swimming a 50×50m lap (2500m) session for 50 weeks in the year.

This was quite a task and proved challenging when faced with life interruptions, injuries and travel. Personally, for Anne it meant seeking out pools (often very dodgy) whilst on travels through Scotland and Ireland. But it did keep us swimming and was a fabulous program.

Congratulations to many of our members who persevered and were rewarded for their efforts.

Platinum – 50+ weeks: Ann Clayton, Ann Reid, Anne Smyth, Brenda Day, Caz Makin, Darryl McGill, Jamie McNeil, Kirsten Madsen, Kristi Ruus, Kristine Dillon, Lucy Jesiolowski, Chris Campbell and Tony Croft.

Gold– 45-49 weeks: Christine Mummery, Jeanette Droop, Liesl Peters

Silver – 40-44 weeks

Bronze– 35-39 weeks: Leisa Cass
