Vikings Master the NSW State Long Course Championships 2026

Tuggeranong Masters were crowned Division 2 champions after a strong performance at the MSNSW State Long Course Championships held at the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre on 11/12 April 2026.
Highlights from the weekend were:
Division 2 Winners! The Vikings secured a convincing victory in Division 2 and placed 6th overall in the total club pointscore with 593 points from 29 clubs.
The team effort: A dedicated squad of 15 swimmers represented the club, with strong results recorded across the board by both veteran members and delighted new competitors. Three men and 12 women swam 70 individual races and seven relays.
The team representatives: The club extends its congratulations to the following 15 athletes for their outstanding representation: Chris Campbell, Donna Campbell, Leisa Cass. Graham Clews, John Collis, Julia Gorham, Kate Kosmer. Erin Lockley, Sandy Lutton, Caz Makin, Elizabeth Merenda, Richard Phillips, Ann Reid, Pam Sheppard, and Anne Smyth.
The medal tally: 9 Gold, 17 Silver, 13 Bronze individual medals plus 1 Gold, 1 Silver, and 2 Bronze relay medals.
The standout performance of the meet: Our women’s 160+ Medley Relay, where the team of Kate Kosmer, Julia Gorham, Erin Lockley, and Elizabeth Merenda claimed a commanding win. This secured the ladies a new (and the only) club record from the meet.
