Masters swimming

Masters swimming is about “fitness, friendship, and fun.

It is not targeted at elite athletes - its emphasis is on camaraderie amongst swimmers and is inclusive for all skill levels and ages (18+), from beginners to seasoned swimmers.

Masters swimming can be a fun way to get involved in your local swimming community and is a great way to meet fellow swimmers.

Masters swim clubs have wide age ranges, with the oldest swimmers in their 70s or 80s and the youngest in their 20s. Being part of a Masters swim club gives you access to coached workouts at set times each week catering to diverse fitness goals in a supportive environment, and providing guidance and accountability to help you reach your personal goals.

Masters swimming also provides numerous competition opportunities at the local, national and international levels. There is absolutely no requirement to race, but if you want to race, joining a Masters swim club will ensure you’ll have a team to race with at meets, and you will get to swim in relays which are always fun!
