With six men and 13 women, the Vikings had 23 relay teams that competed in the NSW Relay Championships, which were held in the the 25m diving pool at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre (SOPAC) on Sunday, 21 July 2013.
The following swimmers participated: Ann Reid, Anne Smyth, Annette Britten, Caroline Makin, Catherine Alexander, Cecelia Kaye, David Bale, Gary Stutsel, Greg Gourley, Jeanette Droop, John Collis, Kade Burgess, Kristen Leydon, Leisa Cass, Liz Needham, Marianne Tweedie, Mary Liz Partridge, Nicolee Martin, Roger Dietrich.
Solid swims and a fabulous team spirit produced some great results in the Freestyle and Medley relays across a range of distances and age groups.
The club was also presented with the Club of the Year 2012 trophy during the meet and Roger Dietrich was presented with the Gary Stutsel Award for having contributed the most to the advancement of Masters Swimming in NSW throughout 2012.
After 18 events, our 23 relay teams enabled the club to finish seventh overall and secured first places positions in the following events:
