Six members participated in the 2012 Bunbury Stingers Postal Swim during the winter. The event consists of swimming three 400m swims, one each of Freestyle and Backstroke, and then a choice of either Breaststroke or Butterfly, during the months of May and June.
These can be swum as part of the normal Endurance 1000 swim program, thereby earning both Endurance 1000 points, as well as completing a swim for the postal meet entry.
It was an all female participation this year from our members Atsuko McGowan, Mandy Coggins, Pauline Rohan, Caroline Makin, Anne Smyth and Ann Reid.
Five of our swimmers, Mandy, Pauline, Caroline, Anne and Ann made the most improved list, as compared to their times for the same swims last year.
Ann had a massive 33.12 second improvement on her entry from last year, with Pauline not far behind improving by 28.38 seconds. Caroline came in 27.10 seconds ahead of last year, Mandy finished her swims 23.38 seconds faster than last year, and Anne improved by 5.95 seconds.
Well done ladies!
