“RAMPAGE IN DESERT BY TUGGY VIKINGS”
The Alice Springs Masters Games were held 13-20 October 2012, with 5 of our mighty Vikings representing. This was an inaugural event which was held at the new 25m indoor pool at the Alice Springs Aquatic and Leisure Centre, therefore all first placings created records for the events. Relays and the 1500m Freestyle were held in the outdoor 50m pool.
The Alice Springs Masters Games are most definitely the “friendly games”, with a party atmosphere and emphasis on having a good time.
Accompanying partners also participated (Harry Kaye – Lawn Bowls, John Alcock – Athletics and Jeff Day – Tennis – all are multi medal winners) so it was a busy time for all.
The next Alice Springs Games will be held in October 2014. Accommodation needs to be booked well in advance for these popular Games.
