Meet report by Ian Hampton
Vikings small team of six (David Bale, Brenda Day, Ian Hampton, Caroline Makin, Ann Reid and Philippa Rickard) did just fine at the Campbelltown BPS Meet on Sunday 7 August 2011.
This was a friendly Short Course meet with 146 swimmers; also plenty of nice cakes and a sausage sizzle at the end. David came first in the 35-39 age group, Philippa was second in a highly competitive 40-44 age group, and Ian Hampton was equal 3rd in the 65-69 age group. Overall Vikings finished seventh on Total Club Points and fifth on Average Club Points/swimmer behind Blacktown, Manly, Novocastrian and Warringah.
