The attached article (PDF) relating to the Vikings Annual H.R. Heher Sports Awards for 2010 appeared in the Vikings Club News March/April 2011 Magazine.
Our club nominated for two awards. Firstly, Jane Lindsay for the Vikings Health & Fitness Centre Award for ‘Outstanding Volunteer’. This award was won by Maree Wilson from the Canberra Physical Culture Club.
Secondly, we nominated our Long Course Championships team of Atsuko, David, Luke, Tanya, Annette, Caroline, Ann, Anne, Cecelia, Pam, Brenda and Ian for The Chronicle Shield for the ‘Outstanding Team Performance’ Award. This award was won by the Panthers Volleyball Club Premier Men’s Team.
We had a number of our club members attend the awards dinner, proudly wearing their club polo shirts.
