Meet report from Brenda Day
Catherine Alexander and Brenda Day thoroughly enjoyed the week of competition at the Alice Springs Masters Games. The swimming was very well organised, super friendly and lots of fun.
Catherine Alexander came third in the 50m Breaststroke and third in the 100m Breaststroke.
Benda Day came first in the 100m, 400m and 800m Freestyle and second in the 200m Individual Medley, 200m and 100m Backstroke as well as the 200m Butterfly. Brenda also swam in an 8x100m Mixed Freestyle relay (a ‘ring in’) member of the Alice AUSSI Swim Team where the 8 swimmers were all from a different age group, to win gold.

The next Alice Springs Masters Games will be held from 13 thru 20 October 2012. The need to book accommodation ASAP is highly recommended as these games are very popular, this year attracting 5,000 competitors. For more information, contact Brenda Day.
