The 2010 NSW Short Course Championships were held at Woy Woy on 20/21 March. We had an excellent weekend competing at the Peninsula Leisure Centre which has a really good pool complex, and some socialising in Woy Woy.
The nine Vikings who attended competed in 45 individual events and four relays, and scored 25 places including a gutsy 2nd place in the 4x100m Freestyle Relay Women’s 200+ by Annette Britten, Brenda Day, Catherine Alexander and Ann Reid.
Highlights were a 2nd and 3rd place earned by David Bale and two 2nds and a 3rd place by Caroline Makin. Another highlight was a determined, fluid and fast 25m Butterfly by Ann Reid in the 4x25m Women’s Medley Relay …there IS a story here – we think Ann won’t mind a question or two about that swim!
Apologies if any achievements have not been highlighted in this summary. Full results are available on the Masters Swimming NSW Website.
