Following a newly formed camaraderie at the Tuggeranong Challenge, Caroline Makin and Tori Evans took the road north to Sydney to compete at SOPAC on 31 January 2010, in the NSW Board Invitational Meet. Tori is a seasoned masters swimmer having competed in a number of events including the World Masters games in 2009, but this was Caroline’s first meet representing the club, and what a great first experience to be swimming at the Sydney Olympic Pool — especially for a Brit!
Races took place in the 25m diving pool. Each of the ladies swam three individual events, and also formed a mixed 4x25m freestyle relay with a couple of men they managed to rope in to making up a team!
