While some of our members were braving the chilly weather and icy water (16 degrees) in the Wharf to Waves at Tathra, Jeanette Droop competed in the 91st Swim Thru Perth event on 17 January 2010. This was organised by the Claremont Masters Swim Club.
The race was swum in the Swan River from the ferry jetty along the river to the University of WA boatshed and was 4km long. The water was lovely and warm and the top temperature on the day was 42 degrees.
Jeanette came in 117th overall from a field of approximately 245 swimmers, 34th from the women and 3rd in her age group. Well done Jeanette. Full results and photos available on the Claremont Masters Website.
